I've always heard that you should dress one level above what you'll be wearing daily. IE: if the job is business casual, you dress formal. If the job is completely casual, a collared shirt and nice pants should be sufficient.
I think it also depends on how nice your legs look.
for the first interview I wore tan dress pants and a short sleeved white blouse with collar/buttons, a black belt, and felt I was dressed one level above what the interviewers were wearing.
for this one I have a brown skirt and short sleeved plaid blouse that is a little more informally styled as a "not tucking in" kind of shirt, but still has a collar. my legs are shaved and clean! what more do you want, LOL!!!! It is a little less formal than what I wore to the first one but not super less formal I guess...... gah I hate this stuff!
yes! and, considering the job i would think that casual but nice is just fine. if it were corporate or in an office then i would say "no" but i think you'll look fab in what you described. xoxo
